Michelle is my sister in law. We live in the same town. We get together for Sunday dinner during the school year and today..... today is her Birthday.

I've been told that I have never done a blog post about her for her birthday, so here you go Michelle (count this as your card too!)

Mother's Day

For the past few years on Mother's Day I have listed things I love about my Mother. Things that I remember about her from growing up. I usually end with a real zing, you know - something that makes me tear up after reading it..... but this year? This year I get her! I get to smell her smells and feel her hugs. I get to watch her watch my children. I get to eat her delicious salads and say grace with her. I get to hold her hand and drink tea with her. I get to show her all of my knitting stuff that I am working on.

Funny.....no zing, but I'm still tearing up after reading. I can't wait to squeeze you Mom.. I adore you, I am thankful for you, I am so lucky to be spending Mother's Day with you.

TEN

Ten years ago today I had the easiest birth in the history of births to this treasure of a child.

He is the middle - he gets me and I get him.

He is a blessing.

He is my heart.

From the second I saw him, I was madly in love.

Vacation

We just arrived home from a wonderful vacation in the Bahamas! Life is getting back to normal, but I am still craving Bahama mamas! Just wanted to send out a quick post so that you know I am back and will be blogging regularly again. Have a great day!

Mary Kate Vest

Another new and FREE pattern available from the Caron website.... I made this on the beach this summer and it was super quick. The yarn is so soft and the sparkles are not at all rough. I made one for the local yarn shop in 1 day, yup one day... it's that quick.

My sample is in Cascade Yarns Sierra, and it goes into the washer and dryer!!
